About Wondar
A site to discover, compare and plan trips based on real ratings and reviews from other travelers — not paid reviews or advertising disguised as a recommendation.
No. Wondar shows you what experiences exist and how the community rated them, but the ticket purchase is completed on our ticket-selling partner's site — you'll see a notice before leaving Wondar the first time you book something. We don't handle the payment or confirmation of that booking.
It's the price our partner reports to us at the moment it's shown, but the final price and purchase conditions (taxes, service fees, availability changes) are confirmed by that external site before you pay — check them there before completing the purchase.
How to read a destination
It's a scale of how big the destination actually is (population of its metropolitan area), so you know in advance whether you're headed to a tiny town you can walk through in an afternoon or a mega-city that'll take days to see.
It identifies the 3 highest-rated destinations across the whole site: gold for the first, silver for the second, bronze for the third. To qualify, a destination also needs a minimum real number of ratings — a very high score with very few reviews isn't enough, so no destination wins the seal by chance.
It marks the destinations that are most searched and visited on Wondar right now — it's not the same as the score: a destination can be very well rated and still not be "top" yet because few people have checked it out.
It comes from the ratings the traveler community itself submits — not from an external algorithm or a business relationship with the destination. The more reviews we all add, the more accurate each score gets.
Ranking and comparisons
Each category (Best cities in Europe, Best beach destinations, etc.) sorts the destinations that match that criterion by score, highest to lowest, and shows the top 10. Just like with the seal, only destinations with a real minimum number of ratings are included.
You pick two destinations and we place them side by side — score, size, language, currency and more — so you can decide between the two without opening one page at a time.
Community content
They're article-style posts written by the community (or travel experts) about a specific destination — longer and more personal than a single review, meant to give you context before planning your trip.
The feed of photos, videos and notes that the whole Wondar community keeps publishing — the place to get inspired by what other travelers are sharing, not just the fixed info on each page.
Go to the destination's page and use the "Rate and review" button — from there you can score different aspects (cleanliness, transport, safety, etc.), write your review and add your own photos.
My account
They save the destinations and experiences you're interested in so you can find them quickly later, without searching again — the heart icon you see on each card is exactly for that.
Not to browse destinations, compare, or read reviews. You'll only be asked to log in when you do something saved under your name — leaving a review, saving a favorite, or booking an experience.
