Fada

Fada is the regional capital of Ennedi and the base for exploring its sandstone massif, one of Africa's most spectacular desert landscapes and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a remote town deep in the Chadian Sahara, with no tourist infrastructure beyond a handful of camps, and getting there requires several days on dirt tracks from N'Djamena or a charter flight.
