About Sesriem
Sesriem needs 2 days, almost entirely dedicated to the dunes of Sossusvlei, some of the tallest in the world. May-October is the dry season with milder temperatures, avoiding the extreme desert summer heat. It's expensive for its size, reflecting its role as the gateway to one of Africa's most photographed desert landscapes. Its orange sand dunes, up to 380 meters tall, and Deadvlei (a white clay pan with 900-year-old dead trees) form one of the most surreal, photographed landscapes on the planet.
