About Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda's most visited park: savanna, forest and the Kazinga Channel (connecting Lakes George and Edward) with one of Africa's largest hippo concentrations, plus lions, elephants, buffalo and leopards. Its Ishasha sector is famous for tree-climbing lions, which rest in fig tree branches during the day — a rare behavior seen in only a handful of places worldwide. June-September and December-February (the dry months) are the best time for a safari.
