Agra needs a day, though many stay overnight to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when there are fewer crowds and softer light. October-March avoids extreme heat and the pollution haze that sometimes covers the monument at other times of year. It's inexpensive, though Taj Mahal admission is notably more expensive for foreigners than locals.
