About Ubud (Bali)
Ubud needs 3 days: the temples and terraced rice fields of Tegallalang on one, the Sacred Monkey Forest on another, and yoga or Balinese cooking classes on the third. April-October is the dry season, ideal for exploring without monsoon rains. It's inexpensive, with notably lower prices than Kuta or the rest of touristy Bali. It's Bali's cultural and spiritual center, popularized internationally by the book «Eat, Pray, Love», and its combination of green rice terraces, Hindu temples and a wellness/yoga scene sets it apart from the beach-and-party profile of the rest of the island.
