About Göreme
Göreme needs 2 days: a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Cappadocia landscape on one, and the rock-cut churches and underground cities on the other. April-June avoids summer heat and winter cold. It's inexpensive, with cave hotels at affordable prices given their uniqueness. Its «fairy chimney» rock formations, carved by erosion over millions of years, and its underground cities dug by Christian communities hiding from persecution, form one of Turkey's most unique landscapes.
