About Innsbruck
Innsbruck needs 2 days: the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl) and the old town on one, the Nordkette funicular, which climbs from downtown to 2,300 meters in 20 minutes, on the other. December-March is ski season; June-September for snow-free hiking. It's cheaper than Salzburg or Vienna. It's the only major city in the world with a ski resort minutes from its historic center, and it hosted the Winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976.
