About Bruges
Bruges needs 2 days: the medieval old town by the canals on one, and a boat ride along those same canals on the other. April-June brings mild weather ahead of summer crowds. It's more expensive than other Belgian cities due to its tourist fame, comparable to Amsterdam for some services. It's nicknamed the «Venice of the North» for its canal network, and its medieval historic center, virtually intact since the 15th century, is one of the best preserved in all of Europe.
