About Val d'Isère
Val d'Isère needs 3 days: skiing the Espace Killy, a ski area shared with Tignes totaling over 300 km of runs, over a couple of days, and riding the cable car for views of the Grande Motte glacier, on the other. December-April brings the snow season. It's expensive, one of the most prestigious ski resorts in the French Alps. Named after Olympic skier Jean-Claude Killy -a native of the village-, it hosted the downhill and combined events of the 1992 Winter Olympics, and today it's one of the few resorts in Europe with year-round guaranteed glacier skiing.
