Roland Garros Stadium is home to the only Grand Slam played on red clay, tennis's slowest and most demanding surface, held every year in late May since 1928. Outside tournament season, a guided tour takes visitors onto the main courts (including Philippe-Chatrier), the players' locker rooms and the tennis museum, with objects and trophies from the sport's great legends.
