The Chèvreloup Arboretum is a natural getaway a short distance from central Paris. Located on the grounds of Versailles, the sprawling 200-hectare arboretum is a haven for trees and plants, home to as many as 2,500 different species from around the world. Visitors can stroll along paths lined with oaks, firs, maples and cedars, and enjoy flowering meadows, woodland areas, fountain pavilions, ponds, cycle paths and plenty of quiet corners.
