About Nice
Nice needs 3 days: the Promenade des Anglais and the beach on one, the old town on another, and a trip to Èze or Monaco on the third. May-June brings mild Mediterranean weather ahead of the July-August heat and crowds. It's expensive, among France's priciest cities after Paris. It's the unofficial capital of the French Riviera, and its Promenade des Anglais, built in the 19th century originally for British winter tourism, is today one of the most iconic seafront promenades of the Mediterranean.
