About Munich
Munich needs 3 days: the historic center (Marienplatz, New Town Hall) on one, Nymphenburg Palace on another, and a traditional beer garden on the third. May-September brings the best weather, with Oktoberfest in late September as the absolute tourist peak. It's expensive, among Germany's priciest cities. It's the world capital of Bavarian beer culture, home to Oktoberfest (the world's largest folk festival) and a 1516 beer purity law (Reinheitsgebot) still in effect today, the oldest food regulation still in use in the world.
