About Wismar
Wismar takes 1 day to see: the market square, with the Gothic brick St. George's Church rebuilt after World War II, is the main reason to visit. May-September is best. It's very inexpensive by German standards. Its historic Hanseatic old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with that of neighboring Stralsund, and its market square served as a backdrop for the 1922 German silent-film classic «Nosferatu».
