About Oia (Santorini)
Oia can be seen in a day, though many stay overnight to watch Greece's most famous sunset from its ruined Byzantine castle. May-June brings mild weather ahead of the peak summer crowds. It's Santorini's most expensive village, with infinity-pool hotels among the priciest in Europe. Its sunset draws hundreds of people every evening, a ritual that turned this small fishing village into one of the world's most recognized tourism symbols.
