Siófok

Siófok needs 2 days: its sandy beaches on Lake Balaton, Central Europe's largest lake, on one, and the nightlife of the Gold Coast, with lakefront clubs, on the other. June-August is best. It's mid-priced, the party capital of the «Hungarian Sea». With only a few meters of depth across most of its surface, Lake Balaton warms up quickly in summer and is ideal for swimming, and Siófok, its most populous town, holds the region's largest nightclub and nightlife offering, making it the quintessential summer weekend destination for Hungarians themselves.
