Spanish Steps
Rome · Lazio · Italy
Europe's longest and widest monumental staircase, with 135 steps connecting Piazza di Spagna to the Trinità dei Monti church. Built in 1725 with French funding, it's a classic meeting point and a free lookout over central Rome. In spring it's covered in blooming azaleas, and since 2019 sitting on the steps has been banned.
