About Vernazza
Vernazza is a full day trip: the village, considered the most picturesque of the Cinque Terre, is walkable in a couple of hours, plus the coastal trail (Sentiero Azzurro) to the neighboring villages, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. April-June and September-October avoid the heat and crowds of high summer. It's expensive for its size, with very limited hotel options within the village. There's no car access -private vehicles are banned from the center-, so it's reached by train or boat, which helped preserve its almost-intact medieval fishing village look.
