About Turin
Turin needs 2 days: touring the Egyptian Museum, the most important collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world outside Cairo, on one, and climbing the Mole Antonelliana, the tower housing the National Museum of Cinema that dominates the city's skyline, on the other. April-June and September-October bring the mildest weather. It's cheaper than Milan or Rome. It was the first capital of unified Italy between 1861 and 1865, and its Egyptian Museum -founded in 1824, the first in the world entirely dedicated to Egyptian civilization- holds pieces that rival the British Museum's in importance.
