Doge's Palace
Venice · Veneto · Italy
The Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale in Italian) is one of Venice's most iconic sights. The first Doge's Palace was built on this site in the 9th century but was destroyed by fire. The Gothic palace that stands in St. Mark's Square today dates back to the 14th century. Since the 16th century, it has been connected to the New Prisons by the famous Bridge of Sighs.
