Bourtange is a Renaissance fortress located in the province of Groningen, Netherlands. Its construction dates back to 1593, designed to control the access routes to the region and protect against invasions. Today, its canals, walls and well-preserved buildings offer visitors a unique experience in military history and architecture, as well as having beautiful natural landscapes ideal for strolling.
