The Heineken Experience is housed in Heineken's original brewery. The brewery was built in 1869 and remained in operation until 1988. Gerard Adriaan Heineken had bought the building back in 1863, when it was known as the 'De Hooiberg' brewery. Since 2001, this former brewery has been home to the Heineken Experience.
