Porto Cathedral
Porto · North · Portugal
Porto Cathedral is a Romanesque-Gothic building dating from the 12th and 13th centuries. During the 17th and 18th centuries, the cathedral underwent major renovations that added baroque elements, contributing to the building's diverse mix of styles. Inside, it retains the look of a fortress-church, complete with battlements. The beautiful 12th-century rose window and the side loggia or porch designed by Nicolau Nasoni in the 18th century, facing the city, are two of the most beautiful features of the Sé.
