About Bilbao
Bilbao needs 2 days: the Guggenheim Museum and its surroundings on one, the Casco Viejo and its pintxos on the other. May-September brings the Basque Country's most stable weather, though rain is never off the table. Prices are somewhat lower than San Sebastián, still reasonable for Basque-level food quality. Its transformation from a declining industrial city into a world reference for architecture and design, thanks to the «Guggenheim effect» since 1997, is one of the most cited urban regeneration cases in the world.
