The Palau de la Música Catalana is a lavish masterpiece of Catalan Art Nouveau. Built between 1905 and 1908, the building brings together the decorative arts of sculpture, mosaic, stained glass and wrought iron. Surprisingly, it wasn't designed by Gaudí! It was conceived by another Catalan architect, Lluís Domènech i Montaner. The Palau was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
