About Cadaqués
Cadaqués can be seen in a day, though its calm invites a longer stay: the whitewashed village with its cobblestone streets can be covered in a few hours. June-September is the only practical window, since winter brings the tramontana, a strong local wind that can complicate a visit. It's pricey for its size, with rates reflecting its exclusivity and the difficulty of the mountain road access. Its hook is Salvador Dalí, who lived much of his life in nearby Portlligat and turned the village into muse for a large part of his surrealist work.
