About Sitges
Sitges can be explored in 2 days: the town, with its seafront church as a postcard image, and its 15-plus beaches can be covered without rushing. May-September is beach season, though the town also comes alive in February for its famous Carnival. It's pricier than other Catalan coastal towns given its proximity to Barcelona (a 35-minute train ride) and popularity with international tourists. It's recognized as one of Europe's most established LGBTQ+ destinations since the 1980s, and also hosts a world-renowned fantasy film festival.
