About Fisterra
Fisterra needs 1 day: walking to the lighthouse atop Cabo Fisterra, which the Romans considered the end of the known world -«Finis Terrae»-, and watching the sunset over the Atlantic from there, in a single day. May-September brings the mildest weather. It's inexpensive by Galician standards. It's the symbolic finish line for many Camino de Santiago pilgrims who extend their journey nearly 90 km beyond the cathedral to reach the sea, in a ritual that includes burning a piece of clothing worn during the walk and contemplating the kilometer zero marker facing the ocean.
