About Interlaken
Interlaken needs 2 days as a base for the Jungfraujoch, nicknamed the «Top of Europe» (3,454 meters, the continent's highest train station), and the Harder Kulm viewpoint above the village. June-September is best for the Jungfraujoch, when there's less risk of snow blocking the view. It's expensive, among Switzerland's priciest Alpine destinations -the Jungfraujoch ticket alone can top 200 francs. It sits between two lakes (Thun and Brienz) and is the world capital of Alpine extreme sports: paragliding, bungee jumping and rafting are all sold daily along its main street.
