About Davos
Davos needs 3 days: skiing or snowboarding across its over 300 km of slopes spread over five mountains connected by a single pass, over two, and a summer hike around Lake Davos with the Jakobshorn in the background on the third. December-March is ski season; June-September for hiking. It's expensive, among the priciest ski resorts in the Alps. It's Europe's highest inhabited town at 1,560 meters, and every January it becomes the center of global attention when political and business leaders gather there for the World Economic Forum, an event that since 1971 put this mountain town on the global geopolitical map.
