Liverpool needs 2 days: The Beatles Story and the docklands district (Royal Albert Dock, a UNESCO World Heritage Site until 2021) on one, Anfield or the Cavern Club, birthplace of the local music scene, on the other. April-September has the mildest weather. It's cheaper than London or Manchester. It's the Beatles' hometown and one of the British Empire's most important historic port capitals, with more national museums and galleries than any UK city outside London.
