Luss

Luss takes half a day to see: the small pier on Loch Lomond, with boat trips on Britain's largest lake by surface area, is essentially the whole village. April-October is best. It's mid-priced by British standards. Its stone cottages, protected as a conservation village since the 1970s, were for years the setting of the Scottish soap opera «Take the High Road», and it remains one of the most picturesque access points to Loch Lomond.
