About Swansea
Swansea needs 1 day: Swansea Bay with its 8 km seafront promenade, and the nearby Gower Peninsula, the first area in Great Britain officially designated an «Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty» in 1956, are the main reason to visit. April-September is best. It's inexpensive by British standards. It's Wales' second most populous city, and it was the birthplace of poet Dylan Thomas, whose cultural centre and childhood home can be visited today.
