Freeport

Freeport needs 2 days: swimming with dolphins or diving at Lucayan National Park, with one of the longest underwater cave systems in the world, on one, and touring Taíno Beach on the other. December-April is best. It's mid-priced for the Bahamas, more accessible than Nassau or Exuma. It's the country's second-largest city and one of the cruise ports closest to Florida -just 90 minutes by fast ferry from Fort Lauderdale-, making it a classic short getaway for American tourism.
