About La Fortuna
La Fortuna needs 3 days: the view of Arenal Volcano, with its near-perfect conical silhouette, from one of its viewpoints, on one, a soak in the natural hot springs heated by the volcano on another, and a walk across the hanging bridges over the cloud forest on the third. December-April is the dry season. It's mid-to-high priced, Costa Rica's most established adventure tourism destination. Arenal Volcano, dormant since 2010 after more than 40 years of near-continuous eruptions, remains the country's most photographed scenic icon, and the area holds the largest concentration of natural hot springs in Central America.
