About Tequila
Tequila can be seen in a day trip from Guadalajara: distillery tours, some with over 200 years of history, take up most of the visit, surrounded by blue agave fields declared a UNESCO World Heritage Agave Landscape. March-May brings mild weather ahead of summer rains. It's inexpensive, with distillery tours including tastings at affordable prices. It's the only place in the world where, by designation of origin, tequila can legally be produced, and its blue agave fields blanketing the landscape have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2006.
