The Tula Archaeological Zone is a Mesoamerican archaeological site located in the city of Tula de Allende, in the Tula Valley, in what is now the southwestern part of the Mexican state of Hidalgo, northwest of Mexico City. The site includes a museum, remains of an earlier settlement known as Tula Chico, and the main ceremonial site known as Tula Grande. The main attraction is the Pyramid of Quetzalcóatl, topped by four four-meter-tall (13-foot) basalt columns carved in the shape of Toltec warriors.
