About Tulum
Tulum needs 3 days: the seaside Maya ruins (the only ones built on a coastal cliff) on one, and nearby cenotes for the rest. December-April is the dry season, avoiding hurricanes and higher humidity. It's expensive by Mexican standards, with a boutique hotel and wellness boom that has driven prices up over the past decade. It's the only Maya archaeological site with a direct Caribbean sea view, and its mix of pre-Hispanic ruins, beach and bohemian/wellness culture has made it Mexico's trendiest destination among international travelers.
