Tampa needs 2 days: touring Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, a theme park and zoo with over 12,000 African animals and award-winning roller coasters, on one, and visiting the Florida Aquarium in the Channelside district, on the other. October-April avoids the humid heat and summer storms. It's mid-priced for Florida. It was founded by Cuban and Spanish immigrants who set up their cigar factories in the Ybor City neighborhood in the late 19th century -today a national historic district-, and its bay is Florida's busiest cargo port.
