Charlotte needs 1 day: touring Carowinds, the theme park that literally straddles the border between North and South Carolina -marked with a painted line on the ground-, and strolling through Uptown, the second-largest banking center in the US after New York, the same afternoon. April-June and September-October bring the mildest weather. It's mid-priced for the US Southeast. It's home to Bank of America and major Wells Fargo operations, and its NASCAR circuit and area-based racing teams made it the unofficial capital of American racing.
