Cincinnati needs 1 day: touring the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, the second-oldest zoo in the US in continuous operation since 1875, and trying Cincinnati-style chili, served over spaghetti with shredded cheese, a combination exclusive to the city, the same afternoon. April-June and September-October bring the mildest weather. It's inexpensive for a major US city. Its Ohio River separates it from Kentucky, and its Union Terminal, a 1933 art deco rail terminal now converted into a museum, is considered one of the best examples of that architectural style in the country.
