About Cleveland
Cleveland needs 1 day: touring the Museum of Illusions, on one, and visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the museum dedicated to the genre's history facing Lake Erie, the same afternoon. May-September brings the mildest weather, avoiding the harsh typical Great Lakes winter. It's inexpensive for a major US city. It was chosen as the site of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 because local disc jockey Alan Freed was among the first to publicly use the term 'rock and roll' in the 1950s, and its glass building designed by I.M. Pei became an architectural icon on Lake Erie.
