Moab

Moab needs 3 days: Arches National Park, with over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the iconic Delicate Arch, on one, Canyonlands National Park, with canyons carved by the Colorado River, on another, and a rafting or mountain biking excursion on the Slickrock Trail on the third. March-May and September-October are best, avoiding extreme desert summer heat. It's mid-priced for the US, with limited lodging that rises in high season. It's the world capital of rock mountain biking and one of the epicenters of adventure sports in the US, surrounded by the planet's largest concentration of natural stone arches.
