About Seattle
Seattle needs 3 days: Pike Place Market and the Space Needle on one, Capitol Hill and its coffee culture (birthplace of Starbucks) on another, and a Mount Rainier trip on the third. June-September is the only truly dry season, since it rains frequently the rest of the year. Prices are high, reflecting the tech boom of Amazon and Microsoft, both headquartered nearby. It's the city that birthed grunge in the '90s (Nirvana, Pearl Jam) and today is a specialty coffee mecca, with more cafés per capita than almost any other US city.
