Cody needs 1 day: touring the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a complex of five museums dedicated to the Old West founded by Buffalo Bill Cody himself, and catching the nightly rodeo held in town every summer evening since 1938, the same afternoon. June-September brings the best weather and coincides with rodeo season. It's inexpensive as Yellowstone's east entrance gateway. Founded in 1896 by William 'Buffalo Bill' Cody himself, the showman who popularized the Old West on tours across the US and Europe, it calls itself the 'Rodeo Capital of the World'.
