It is considered one of the five best opera houses in the world by National Geographic and one of the five best concert halls in the world for its acoustics. The other four are the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and Boston's Symphony Hall.
