Saldungaray Cemetery Gateway
Saldungaray · Buenos Aires · Argentina
A monumental concrete gateway raised in 1938 by architect Francisco Salamone, author of dozens of slaughterhouses, town halls and cemetery portals scattered across Buenos Aires province. A parabolic arch crowned by a figure of Christ tops it; it's lit at night. Free to visit and the obligatory stop for anyone passing through the valley.
