Posadas

Posadas needs 2 days: the Costanera, a nearly 8 km riverside promenade along the Paraná River facing Encarnación (Paraguay), on one, and an excursion to the Jesuit ruins of San Ignacio Miní on the other. March-May and September-November are best, avoiding the humid subtropical summer heat. It's inexpensive for Argentina. It's the capital of Misiones province and the usual overland gateway to Iguazu Falls and the region's Jesuit ruins, connected by an international bridge to Encarnación on the opposite bank, making it a binational hub of trade and cultural exchange between Argentina and Paraguay.
