Villa La Angostura

Villa La Angostura needs 2 days: the Arrayanes Forest, the world's only pure forest of this copper-barked tree, accessible by boat or hike through Los Arrayanes National Park, on one, Cerro Bayo with mountain activities, on the other. December-March is peak summer season; July-August for skiing. It's expensive by Patagonian standards, with a high-income tourist profile. It's said to have inspired the enchanted forest in Disney's «Bambi» for its unique combination of twisted reddish trunks, and its Lake Nahuel Huapi shares waters with Bariloche, 80 km away.
